Summary and Reflection
Wrapping Up (1:14)
Supporting our mental health can sometimes feel like an overwhelming job. It’s important to remember that we are not expected to do this alone. When you feel you may be struggling, ask for help and know what resources are available to support you and your wellness. As leaders, not only do you have a responsibility to your team, but you have one to yourself. Prioritizing our own wellness is required if we want to be able to be present and supportive to another.
This module has addressed several learning goals. To check on your own learning you may ask yourself the following questions:
- Have I increased or strengthened my understanding of mental health?
- Am I more aware of personal practices for stress management?
- Can I identify some signs of stress?
- Do I have some new ideas about things I can do to support my mental health and reduce stress?
- Am I more comfortable with the idea of asking for support? Am I more open to others and their mental health needs?
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a trusted person or reach out to Kids Help Phone where options for support include talk, text and chat. You can also refer to talk suicide or call 1-833-456-4566 or text 45645.
IF YOU ARE IN CRISIS, PLEASE CALL 911 OR GO TO YOUR NEAREST EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTANCE
